Why is my SodaStream One Touch™ not carbonating properly?

Step 1 - Is your bottle compatible with SodaStream One Touch™?

The SodaStream One Touch™ is compatible with the 1L slim carbonating bottle, the 0.5L carbonating bottle (My Only Bottle), the 1L classic carbonating bottle, and the 1L classic dishwasher safe bottle.

If you’re using the correct bottle and still unable to carbonate, follow the below instructions for further assistance:

Step 2 - Are you out of CO2?

If you're still not getting bubbles and if you don't hear a sputtering sound when you press the carbonating button, you may be out of CO2. You can get a new cylinder through a participating retail location or by online CO2 order.

If you’re not out of CO2, follow the below instructions for further assistance:

Step 3 - Is your Screw-In System Cylinder properly installed?

  • Make sure the cylinder is tight enough and retighten it if necessary by twisting the cylinder to the right.
  • Make sure the Sparkling Water Maker is properly connected, by disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord into a working electrical socket.


Step 4 - Did you fill the bottle to the fill line?

Step 5 - Did you fizz the water in the right way?

Do not carbonate if flavors were added!

Carbonate by pressing one of the three buttons to achieve your desired carbonation. Press the left button (one drop) for light fizz, the middle button (two drops) for medium fizz, and the right button (three drops) for strong fizz.
