How do I get my SodaStream GAIA™ Sparkling Water Maker to stop leaking water?

Follow the steps below to help stop your SodaStream GAIA™ Sparkling Water Maker from overflowing: 

Step 1 - Did you fill the bottle to the fill line?

Make sure you are filling the carbonating bottle with water to the fill line only.

Step 2 - Is your bottle compatible with the SodaStream GAIA™?

Make sure your bottle is compatible with your Sparkling Water Maker. The SodaStream GAIA™ Sparkling Water Maker is compatible with the 1L slim carbonating bottle, the 0.5L carbonating bottle , and the 1L classic carbonating bottle.

Step 3 - Did you insert the bottle properly?

Make sure your bottle is inserted correctly. The bottle is inserted correctly when there is a gap between the Carbonating Bottle and the base of the Sparkling Water Maker.

Step 4 - Did you fizz the right way?

Carbonate water only. Flavors should only be added after carbonation.

Make sure you're firmly pushing the carbonating button in short 1 second presses. 3 presses for standard carbonation and 5 presses for strong carbonation.
