To check if you are out of gas, first, make sure the Quick Connect Cylinder is properly inserted in the cylinder holder with the cylinder handle lowered. Once you have checked this, push the carbonating button a few times to see if gas is entering the bottle and to check for bubbles.
If you're still not getting bubbles and if you don't hear a sputtering sound when you press the carbonating button, you may be out of gas...
